Christian & Faith Counseling

Christian Counseling in Arizona

Faith-integrated counseling that honors your beliefs and the evidence-based methods that bring real change. Serving clients across Arizona via telehealth.

Faith and Therapy, Together

Faith and therapy are not at odds. As a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), I integrate biblical wisdom with evidence-based therapeutic methods to support the whole person—mind, heart, and spirit.

Christian counseling acknowledges that the struggles we face—whether anxiety, depression, marriage trouble, grief, or questions of purpose—have spiritual dimensions alongside the emotional and relational ones. You don't have to compartmentalize your faith when you walk into a session.

Sessions are client-led. If you want prayer, scripture, and spiritual reflection woven into your work, I'm honored to do that. If you prefer a more secular therapeutic process, that's equally welcome. The faith integration is always yours to direct.

What We Work On

Common topics clients bring into Christian counseling.

Anxiety & Depression

Worry, fear, sadness, or hopelessness that feels at odds with your faith—or that prayer alone hasn't resolved. Therapy offers practical tools alongside spiritual support.

Marriage & Premarital

Communication issues, conflict, infidelity recovery, blending families, or preparing for a Christ-centered marriage. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy and faith-based principles.

Grief & Loss

Losing a loved one, a dream, a relationship, or a season of life. We make space for honest grief while holding onto the hope of your faith tradition.

Doubt & Spiritual Struggle

Questions about God, the church, your faith, or how to reconcile what you've experienced with what you believe. These conversations are welcome here.

Purpose & Calling

Wondering what God has you here for, or feeling stuck in a season that doesn't reflect your values. Therapy can help you listen, discern, and move.

Family & Parenting

Raising kids with intentional faith, navigating family conflict, blended families, or parenting through difficult seasons.

How I Integrate Faith

Faith integration is always client-led. Here's what it can look like in our work together.

Scripture as a Resource

When it's helpful, we bring relevant scripture into the session—not as a quick fix, but as a source of wisdom, comfort, and perspective alongside the therapeutic work.

Prayer in Session

Some clients want to open or close sessions in prayer. I'm glad to do that. Others prefer to keep prayer in their personal life. Both are welcome.

Evidence-Based Methods

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family Systems work. These are research-supported methods that work—and they pair well with a faith perspective.

Honest About Struggle

Faith doesn't mean never struggling. Therapy gives you a safe place to bring honest questions, doubts, and pain—without being told to 'just have more faith.'

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Christian to see you?

Not at all. I work with clients of all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith integration is available for clients who want it, but it's never required. See my Services page for the full list of what I offer.

What denomination are you?

I'm a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and work with clients across Christian traditions—Catholic, Protestant, nondenominational, and others. My goal is to support your faith, not advocate for a specific denomination.

Is Christian counseling 'real' therapy?

Yes. I'm a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) trained in evidence-based methods like CBT, EFT, and Family Systems. Faith integration enhances the work, it doesn't replace it. I'm held to the same professional, ethical, and HIPAA standards as any other licensed counselor.

Can we pray together in session?

Yes, if you want to. Some clients open or close sessions in prayer; others prefer to keep prayer personal. Either is welcome. I'll never push faith practices on you, and I'll always respect your preferences.

What does Christian counseling cost?

Individual and couples sessions are $125. I'm in-network with Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. Your first 15-minute phone consultation is free.

Do you offer faith-integrated teen or family counseling?

Yes. I offer Teen Counseling and Family Counseling with optional faith integration for clients who want it.

Bring Your Whole Self to Therapy

Faith, doubt, hope, struggle—it's all welcome here. Reach out when you're ready.
